Scott Lamanna

Calvin University

Scott Lamanna is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and received his Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics from Indiana University in 2012. He teaches all levels of language and linguistics in the Spanish Department, has directed programs abroad in Peru and Mexico, and has also taught a course in English for first-year students on language and dialect diversity. His research interests include U.S. Spanish, Colombian Spanish, language and dialect contact, and language variation and change. His current research focuses on the role of language and dialect contact in shaping varieties of Spanish in the United States.
