Marta, a humble peasant woman, travels with increasing despair around Mariquina, in the south of Chile, seeking to fulfill the last will of her dying mother: the last rites.

During the intense search, Marta will face situations with which she will have to act without any morals, in order to be able to arrive on time with such urgent request.

Marta, una humilde mujer de campo, recorre con creciente desesperación los alrededores de Mariquina, al sur de Chile, buscando cumplir la última voluntad de su moribunda madre, el sacramento de la extremaunción. Durante la intensa búsqueda Marta se verá enfrentada a situaciones con las que tendrá que actuar prescindiendo de toda moral, para así lograr llegar a tiempo con tan urgente solicitud.
