Without warning, 10-year-old Eric is sent to live with his estranged handyman father Gabriel, whom he barely knows. Gabriel does odd jobs for the kindly Maria Isabel, an upper middle class woman with children of her own. Maria Isabel invites Gabriel and Eric to her country home for the Christmas holidays.
